Operations Manager - HVAC

Are you an experienced HVAC professional ready to take the next step in your career? BL Airconditioning Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple commercial HVAC projects across Melbourne. Our projects typically range from $100k to $2M, and we specialize in both new builds and complex refurbishments.

As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you will oversee project delivery, workforce management, and operational efficiency – ensuring our standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are upheld across the board.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple commercial HVAC projects
2. Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and workforce coordination
3. Liaise with builders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and clear communication
4. Monitor project budgets and performance, ensuring targets are met
5. Drive continuous improvement across operational processes
6. Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
7. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to site supervisors and project staff
8. Contribute to business growth through effective planning and execution

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial HVAC or building services operations/project delivery
• Proven leadership and team management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, installations, and compliance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking with Job/Project Management Software
• Relevant qualifications in Cert 3 in Air conditioning & Refrigeration, Construction Management or similar (preferred but not essential)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across Melbourne
