Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older Australians?

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Coordinator to play a significant role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).

In this 12 months fixed-term contract leadership role, you will guide and support a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to promote and deliver person-centred services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of client intake and service scheduling processes of CHSP-funded services ensuring alignment with program goals and Aged Care Quality Standards
  2. Supervise, mentor, and support staff and volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance development
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups and stakeholders
  4. Ensure compliance, manage risk, and respond to feedback, complaints, and incidents professionally
  5. Monitor service targets and outcomes in collaboration with the Service Manager
  6. Lead quality improvement, promote consumer-directed care, and support service development
  7. Participate in the after-hours on-call roster as required

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in community aged care, preferably within CHSP or similar programs
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team development skills
  • Experience in developing and supporting high quality volunteer programs
  • Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and CHSP funding requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a values-based environment
