Role Description
The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is undertaking a significant period of workforce transformation and reform. As Director, People and Culture you will lead the department's human resources strategy, driving change, supporting a values-based culture and strengthening workforce capability to deliver better outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families across South Australia.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director provides strategic leadership across the full spectrum of human resource functions. This includes organisational development, talent management, workforce planning and reporting, industrial relations and employee wellbeing. The role will lead the implementation of the DCP Workforce Strategy and deliver contemporary, fit-for-purpose HR solutions that enable a high performing and resilient workforce.

A key priority is driving reform and culture change. The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking HR leader with experience navigating complex systems, leading strategic workforce initiatives and managing high-impact reform agendas. The ability to build trusted relationships across executive leadership, unions and external partners is essential.

The Director will also play a lead role in advancing workforce strategies that support Aboriginal employment and cultural responsiveness, working in partnership with DCP's Aboriginal Policy and Services Directorate.
