Our Zumtobel Product Management (PM) Team “Trunking Systems & Protected Luminaires”: experts working together to push boundaries and inspire the market. The main goal of our "Trunking Systems & Protected Luminaires" team is to offer our clients the best lighting solutions for various applications, including retail, industry, chemical, food processing, education, and offices. The Product Management team is responsible for overseeing the global product portfolio while considering related emergency lighting, connectivity products, as well as digital solutions and services for the Zumtobel and Thorn brands. This is done in clear alignment with the company’s brand, application, and sustainability strategy.

What it's all about: Managing the entire product lifecycle and innovating the next generation of lighting solutions worldwide.

As a Global Product Manager, you oversee the entire product lifecycle—from idea generation to phase-out. You identify opportunities and drive growth through innovation and change, maintaining business goals and priorities. You manage all activities for the Zumtobel brand globally, with a focus on goal-setting for each product range.

You will be part of a team of four+ passionate Product Managers based at our headquarters in Dornbirn, Austria.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, defining & implementing the Product Roadmap: Drive disruptive product breakthroughs by developing a global product roadmap—from ideation, specification, and make-or-buy decisions to launch. Oversee the complete lifecycle, including hardware, software, and services, to achieve market share targets. Collaborate proactively with Sales, Brands, and R&D to ensure successful market implementation.
  • Managing, monitoring & evaluating performance: Take full responsibility for the profitability of product families, ensuring alignment with company goals, timely and cost-effective delivery, and strategic positioning. Support marketing plans and optimize pricing strategies. Continuously monitor and evaluate portfolio performance with brands for informed investment decisions.
  • Gathering trends & driving innovation: Work closely with Market Intelligence and Sales to analyze global markets, technologies, competitors, and customer trends. Use advanced methodologies and tools to stay ahead of the competition, identifying customer needs, opportunities, and risks for strategic positioning.
  • Providing training & presentations: Share product and application knowledge through engaging training sessions, demonstrations, and presentations for customers, stakeholders, and sales teams.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a key interface for all relevant stakeholders—Application Management, Brand Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Product Development, PMO, Innovation Hub, Global Launch Management, Market Intelligence, and Production—ensuring optimal outcomes for customers and business objectives.

Skills & Experience

  • Charismatic personality with empowering, inspiring communication skills, an empathetic and supportive working style, and enthusiasm for Product Management.
  • Successfully completed a bachelor’s degree, with technical understanding or strong interest in technology.
  • Initial relevant experience and success in a product management, sales, or product-focused role, ideally in technology, industrial, B2B, electro-mechanical equipment, or consumer electronics.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, strategic, entrepreneurial, and problem-solving mindset. Ability to create and implement product roadmaps using professional project management skills and highly organized work habits.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of influencing and challenging at all levels, and leading interdisciplinary, decentralized, and remote teams.
  • Curious, agile mindset open to new ideas, trends, and topics. Commitment to sustainability influences decisions.
  • Energetic and passionate about presenting, storytelling, and communicating credibly and empathetically—fluent in English and ideally in German.
  • “Never give up” attitude, authentic, approachable, trustworthy, self-confident, and resilient presence.
  • Willing to travel abroad up to 30% to support external market presence.
