Data Engineer

Your territory

As part of our Data team, you will:

1. Design and build secure, scalable, and resilient end-to-end data architectures and solutions
2. Develop state-of-the-art data pipelines and streamline data transfer across platforms and databases
3. Foster and apply principled software development practices to ensure consistency, replicability, and modularity of data solutions
4. Create and implement solutions to monitor the health of data workflows while optimizing performance and stability
5. Ensure data is stored in a clean, structured, secure, and cost-efficient manner
6. Guarantee the accuracy and availability of application and business data
7. Implement data quality strategies to maintain high standards of data integrity
8. Gain access to external data and integrate it into internal systems for improved decision-making

10. Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level

Your profile

Key requirements:

1. Experience designing and delivering data solutions, including pipelines, modeling, and/or processing
2. Proficiency in the latest data engineering tools and technologies
3. Hands-on experience with stream and batch processing technologies
4. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for maintaining data architectures
5. Strong knowledge of handling complex data structures
6. Proficiency in Python and PySpark
7. Experience with Apache Airflow is a plus
8. Ideally, experience with AWS Cloud solutions like Glue, S3, Athena, and Redshift Spectrum
9. Very good English skills

Salary range

Just so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at € 50.000 full-time. At Tractive, that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
