Responsibilities

  • The kitchen of a residential care center is your natural habitat; you organize meals for different departments as well as daily and festive menus for nearby community centers.
  • Responsible for ordering all food and drinks, and participating in cooking activities with your team to better coach your staff.
  • As a coach, ensure a good working atmosphere and organization, utilizing your team members' skills efficiently.
  • Integrate food activities within a large facility organization: inventory management, HACCP, waste management, dishwashing procedures, etc.
  • Monitor procedures to deliver a high-quality and safe product.
  • Maintain a focus on quality and safety in all outputs.
  • Collaborate with all involved parties to develop a seamless service tailored to customer needs.
  • Passionate about food, strongly organized, proactive.
  • Report to the facilities manager and work together on optimization proposals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Possess a chef diploma with at least 2 years of cooking experience, including leadership roles in the kitchen.
  • Experience in large-scale kitchens is a plus.
  • Interest in trendy, healthy, and contemporary cuisine.
  • Experience cooking for seniors and managing various dietary requirements.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP, food management techniques, ordering, and stock control.
  • Responsible for your own kitchen under all circumstances.
  • Innovative and creative by nature.
  • Motivates kitchen staff with a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and a coaching mindset.
  • Proficient in Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
