Job Overview - We are excited to offer an exceptional career opportunity for a State Manager to lead our extensive network of over 200 pathology collection centres from Broome to Kalgoorlie to Albany. This role requires a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services across the state.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee operational aspects of the state-wide pathology collection services
  2. Manage, mentor, and motivate Area Managers and their teams across five regions
  3. Ensure all collection centres operate efficiently, meeting high standards of patient care and customer service
  4. Work collaboratively with the Laboratory and Marketing team
  5. Oversee and undertake recruitment, training, and performance management processes
  6. Lead efforts in compliance with WHS standards and continuous improvement initiatives
  7. Handle administrative duties, including the development of technical procedures and overseeing internal and external audit processes

Qualifications and Experience -

  • At least 5 years’ experience in successfully managing teams including recruitment, training, rostering and performance management
  • Experience in undertaking Pathology collections
  • Tertiary qualification in Management will be well regarded
  • Proven people management and leadership experience
  • Commitment to meet WHS standards
  • Empathetic, professional and solutions focussed
  • Strong administrative background including writing technical procedures
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in internal and external audit processes
  • An understanding of ACC licencing, Medicare and NATA requirements for a pathology service is desirable

Additional Information -

This full-time position requires the flexibility to work between Monday - Saturday with On Call as needed. The role includes travel to metropolitan and regional centres.

Salary package and relocation expenses (if applicable) will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience.
