Your future responsibilities

The SAL team is seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior R&D Service Engineer to maintain our high-quality cleanroom facilities and support daily operations. As a Junior R&D Service Engineer, you will develop your skills through service tasks in the SAL environment, gaining insights into internal processes and engineering practices with guidance from experienced team members.

  • Organize and maintain laboratories across several ISO clean rooms for semiconductor fabrication.
  • Support daily cleanroom operations such as waste management, chemical and supply refilling, and user support.
  • Monitor and replenish lab consumables to ensure continuous workflow.
  • Manage and organize inventory, including issuing and restocking materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operation guidelines, and cleanroom standards.
  • Conduct routine chemical analyses, including titration and testing procedures.
  • Propose and implement improvements in operations, organization, costs, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with CR Maintenance and Process Teams for optimal operation.

Your profile

  • Completed technical or chemical education/training.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, with a structured working style.
  • Reliable, responsible, committed to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
  • Native-level German skills and good command of English, both written and spoken.

This position is covered by the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA), starting at occupational group C1. We offer competitive salaries and benefits. The minimum gross monthly salary is EUR 2,776 (full-time), paid 14 times annually.
