Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning and surveying services throughout Australia. Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Property & Infrastructure and Energy & Resources sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery

Our Energy and Resources Engineering Division delivers specialist mining, energy, hydrogen and renewable energy projects across the country. These include process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, well leases, network gathering systems, major gas transmission pipelines, above ground processing facilities, as well as hydrogen and renewable energy facilities.

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Senior Piping Designer, or a desire to move into a senior role, to join our team to work on project portfolios across the energy and resources sectors. This role will be based in Adelaide, and you will work in a team of experienced designers supporting the business and delivering on a range of projects.

The Responsibilities:

This is a senior position that requires an energetic team player who can lead projects, consult with clients, and mentor junior team members.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and project managers, to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.

Skills & Experience

In this role you will be part of a design office responsible for delivering a wide range of projects using 2D and 3D software packages. You will have strong communication skills, evidence of design experience within the oil and gas and / or mining industries and be adaptable to a fast-paced engineering office environment. Projects include pipelines, piping, pump stations, facilities and skid-based equipment. There is also an opportunity to work on electrical and structural engineering designs.

Requirements

Previous design experience within mining industry

Minimum 5 years' experience with MicroStation V8i

Understanding of P&ID, Orthographic and Isometric drawings

Experience working with point cloud using Autodesk ReCap is an advantage

A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality if work

A team player

Strong work ethic and aptitude to learn

Good communication and interpersonal skills
