Job Description:

An international group focused on hydro projects seeks an Insurance Legal Specialist with expertise in liability and cyber insurance, risk management, contract review, and M&A support. The role involves managing global insurance policies, analyzing loss data, reviewing contracts, and supporting M&A activities, reporting directly to the Group Insurance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage liability insurance line, renew policies, coordinate with brokers and insurers, and handle complex liability claims.
2. Oversee cyber insurance policies, collaborate with IT and brokers, and lead incident response planning.
3. Conduct risk management activities, analyze data, and ensure compliance with insurance procedures.
4. Review and negotiate insurance requirements in EPC contracts.
5. Support M&A activities by soliciting quotes and analyzing insurance offers.

Qualifications:

• Preferably a legal background, with a preference for common law qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in insurance, law firms, or insurance departments of international companies.
• Deep understanding of third-party liability insurance and global insurance programs.
• Ability to work internationally, including travel.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Independent, precise, and problem-solving working style.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Global focus and adaptability.

Position Details:

Fully remote with potential travel within the EU and US.

Salary: €60,000 - €85,000 + up to 15% MBO + benefits.

No people management responsibilities.
