The Company

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for providing technical customer support for AHS software and related components in a timely and quality assured manner, including on-site and help desk support. This involves tasks assigned through processes involving updates, testing, QA (quality assurance), and diagnosing root causes of problems through troubleshooting to ensure product functionality is optimized.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10%.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides technical customer support through task assigned processes using updates, testing, and QA methods to ensure product functionality - escalates issues as required.
• Diagnoses root causes of problems, troubleshoots issues, and performs repairs within SLA (Service Level Agreement) timeframes – escalates issues as required.
• Provides daytime telephone support – resolves system issues effectively and efficiently to ensure functionality as soon as practicable.
• Connects to client sites to verify and reproduce problems to diagnose root causes.
• Documents functionality clearly and concisely.
• Performs ad hoc projects as required.

Required Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining, Engineering, or IT-related fields.
• Solid computer skills with knowledge of computing languages such as C, C++, SQL, and/or scripting languages, plus Linux/Unix systems.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of mining operations.
