Job Description:

  • Formal cataloguing and metadata management of university publications
  • Management of university publications
  • Conception and realisation of training courses
  • Retro-cataloguing and projects

Your profile:

  • Library training University course "Library and Information Studies" or equivalent training or relevant professional experience
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel
  • Knowledge of the ALMA library system and the regulations and formats for the formal cataloguing of media (e.g. RDA, MARC21) applicable in the Austrian Library Network is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German (level C2)
  • Willingness to communicate and ability to carry out training measures. Motivation for further training. Accurate, careful and results-orientated work; interest in current professional and technological developments in the library sector; willingness to familiarise yourself with new fields of activity

For this position in job group IIIa, a minimum gross salary of € 1.350 per month (14 times) * is stipulated in the collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase over the course of your employment.
