Introduction:
We are currently recruiting a temporary Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month contractual basis for a leading global commercial organisation. This company is renowned in the industry and is experiencing significant growth by offering world-class services to its customers. The environment is fast-paced, driven, and collaborative, working within the finance division where colleagues are engaged, friendly, and value innovative ideas.

You will report to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with Distribution Centre management, providing clear and insightful financial perspectives on productivity and projects.
  2. Contribute to month-end management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and trend analysis, with a focus on warehouse and transport.
  3. Partner effectively with divisional finance and supply chain teams to foster a data-driven culture and ensure a cohesive understanding of financial implications.
  4. Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
  5. Conduct regular financial analysis and generate reports highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
  6. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and procedures are followed.
  8. Stay updated with accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance and educate operational stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant for over 2-3 years.
  • Proficiency in SAP (desirable) and strong financial principles.
  • Exceptional networking abilities to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Studying towards CA/CPA.

Note: You'll be required to work in the Dandenong Office 1-2 times a month.
