As Senior Lecturer, you play a key role in the education of students in the scientific basis and the advanced topcis. Besides a solid academic education, we are particularly committed to developing the personal skills of students. We support students in developing a curious and problem-solving mindset, thereby laying a solid foundation for the professional challenges of the next generation.
The position combines academic and instructional teaching for a total of 13 hours.
The Senior Lecturer position is based at the Department of Geography and Regional Research (Institut für Geographie und Regionalforschung / lfGR) at the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy. With more than 100 academic staff and 3,500 students, more than half of whom are teacher training students, the lfGR offers an inspiring environment to address urgent societal challenges in research and teaching. As Senior Lecturer, you will be involved in both Bachelor’s and Master’s teaching, as well as in the teacher training program for Geography and Economic education.
The working time of 30 hours/week includes teaching duties of, on average, 13 semester hours per week of teaching, split into 6 semester hours instructional, and 7 semester hours academic teaching.
