Timberlink Australia I New Zealand is a leading timber products manufacturing and distribution business. Our two manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia. Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.

About the role:

We’re looking for a senior HR leader to partner with the Tarpeena (based 15 minutes from Mount Gambier) site and support the broader manufacturing function across the business.

You’ll work closely with the EGM Manufacturing to drive performance and capability as part of our Manufacturing Excellence program, while also forming a strong partnership with the HR Business Partner, Bell Bay (Tasmania). Together, you’ll align and execute our people strategy across both sites, sharing insights, proactively addressing workforce needs and creating consistency where it matters.

This is a strategic hands-on role in a fast paced, blue-collar environment where you’ll lead talent management, capability, performance, workforce planning and change. You’ll be trusted to turn strategy into action and make a measurable impact.

We’re flexible on where you’re based – Melbourne, Tarpeena (Mount Gambier) or Adelaide but you’ll need to be comfortable travelling regularly to site.

Why this role?

  1. Shape and deliver the People Strategy within an operational setting
  2. Partner directly with senior leaders and influence site-level decisions
  3. Contribute to a forward focused business-wide manufacturing program
  4. Be part of a broader HR team with expertise in workplace relations, learning and development and talent
  5. Grow your career in a business that values HR as a strategic partner

If you’re commercially minded, operationally experienced and ready for a role with stretch, we’d love to hear from you.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  1. Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Employment Law, Employee Relations or equivalent
  2. Experience in a similar role working at a senior level
  3. Demonstrated experience in manufacturing environments

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary based upon experience and performance, along with full training and support from a hardworking and committed team.
