Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Geometrical integration:

Creating concepts for mechanical system design and geometrical system integration of mobile robotic systems for construction site use.

Working on prototypes of different maturity levels and serial product development.

Interdisciplinary collaboration:

Close coordination with teams from electrical engineering, software development, and production to ensure an optimal overall system design.

3D Modeling:

Developing mechanical assemblies and individual components in Solidworks, including creating CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials.

Optimization:

Introducing new ideas to optimize existing designs and innovative solutions for technical challenges.

Documentation:

Maintaining and managing technical documents in PDM as well as coordinating workflows with Jira.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Mandatory: proven experience in designing machinery or construction equipment (e.g. mobile systems, heavy equipment, or robotic platforms).
• Interest in designing complex systems with an interdisciplinary focus (e.g., integration of electronics and mechanics).
• General system understanding beyond mechanical domain.
• Solid experience with Solidworks.

Experience:

• Proven professional experience in a comparable position.
• Advantageous: Experience with the specific requirements of construction-site-ready equipment or similar devices.

Soft Skills:

• High level of creativity, initiative, teamwork, and systematic thinking.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical content clearly.
• Interest into other system domains and motivation to enhance general system understanding.

Completed studies or relevant technical training (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics).

Working Hours, Place of Work & Salary:

• Full-time position (38.5h/week).
• After the trial month, home office is possible.
• Competitive compensation and bonus package.
• Minimum gross salary in line with the current collective agreement "Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte des Metallgewerbes". Overpayment, reflecting market rates and based on your experience and qualifications, is offered.
