The Opportunity
Our client is a leading multinational company with an impressive track record of year-on-year growth. We are seeking a Governance and Reporting Lead to join their high-performing team.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Group Finance, your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the external audit program, including scope, and coordinating the resolution of material issues arising from audits
- Coordinating the Financial Governance processes to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards, providing a true and fair view of the company's financial position
- Preparing reports on Financial Governance outcomes for the Executive team
- Ensuring peak deliverable periods are properly resourced, including engaging with businesses to clarify their requirements during governance activities such as audits and reviews
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Group Finance Governance Analyst, including workload delegation and oversight
- Managing the month-end consolidation process, ensuring clarity on deliverables and deadlines
- Implementing and reviewing checks and validations to ensure entity loads are complete and accurate
- Collaborating with European and Pacific finance teams for timely and accurate group consolidation
- Assisting with the integration of new subsidiaries as needed
- Managing quarterly financial reporting and overseeing the JSOX program
- Preparing annual financial statements for legal entities across multiple business units
- Reviewing subsidiary financial statements before submission to regulatory bodies
- Contributing to external audit efficiency
The Expertise
Consider expressing interest if you possess:
- CA/CPA qualification, preferably with experience in a Chartered firm (Big4 or top-tier)
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, including consolidations and technical accounting
- Experience in a consolidated group environment across multiple countries (preferred)
- Strong group consolidation skills
- Ability to handle diverse responsibilities within a collaborative team environment
