Role: AI Focused Full-Stack Developer

As Employee #1, you'll collaborate with our CTO to architect and implement our core platform. We're building a platform where our AI services, powered by Python and LangChain, process complex data streams and generate insights, while our Java/Spring Boot microservices ensure these insights drive automated, enterprise-grade actions. This architecture helps data centres turn compliance requirements into competitive advantages while improving their sustainability metrics.

Meet the Team

At Clear Decisions, you'll work directly with a visionary and dynamic founding team:

• Maximilian Weidl, CEO – Momentum builder, leading customer success, partnerships, and growth. Max ensures that Clear Decisions delivers real-world impact.
• Louisa Cilenti, Chief Legal Officer – A leading cleantech lawyer, anchoring compliance, regulatory expertise, and environmental leadership.
• Valentin Weidl, CTO (Your Future Collaborator) – Ex-AWS, building scalable AI-driven architectures. Valentin leads technical development, ensuring our solutions transform complex data challenges into clear growth opportunities.

You'll work closely with Valentin, collaborating on technical strategy and key architectural decisions. You will have a direct path to leadership, influencing long-term technology direction and shaping our engineering culture as the team grows.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Core Platform Development:

• Design and implement scalable microservices architecture using Spring Boot
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures for real-time data processing
• Ensure high availability and performance through proper service design
• Implement GenAI features using LangChain and the latest LLM models
• Design and build data processing pipelines that handle complex data streams
• Develop RAG solutions within our microservices architecture
• Implement predictive AI solutions focusing on efficiency and cost strategies
• Design & implement cloud-native microservices on AWS
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines for automated testing & deployment
• Ensure security best practices across the microservices landscape
• Design for scalability using containerization and orchestration tools
• Work closely with early customers to understand their integration needs
• Design APIs that make our platform accessible and intuitive
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions
• Drive architectural decisions based on real customer requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python (AI/ML) and Java development
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native development
• Experience with GenAI frameworks like LangChain
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, Neo4j, and database design
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD automation
• Understanding of event-driven architectures

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Previous work with data centres
• Experience with RAG solutions and LLM deployments
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Understanding of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with LSTM and Redfish APIs
• Experience leading technical teams or projects
