Senior Expert Science & Technology (m/f/d)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced scientist with deep analytical expertise, especially in Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) process development, along with strong project management skills. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to support high-priority project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, supervise, and coordinate analytical development activities for assigned projects, managing multiple tasks simultaneously to meet customer needs.
- Lead analytical method development and provide scientific guidance within the matrix team for novel protein-based biopharmaceuticals.
- Evaluate and interpret analytical results, review and approve analyses, and discuss conclusions with scientists.
- Author and review scientific reports for internal and external partners; support the preparation of registration documents; act as an analytical expert during health authority inspections or internal audits.
- Communicate effectively, address complex problems within own area, and contribute to budget and resource planning, ensuring cost awareness and timely project delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring smooth collaboration with internal teams and external partners such as CROs.
- Promote knowledge sharing through internal presentations, publications, patents, and scientific results.
Requirements
- University degree (preferably PhD) in pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or relevant natural sciences.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Analytical Development, with a strong understanding of mass spectrometry preferred.
- Experience in DS and DP process development.
- Solid project management skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is beneficial.
- Strong digital technology skills.
