The Opportunity

A senior practitioner with demonstrated experience in Digital Engineering (DE) for the delivery of capital works. They will work with both asset owners to lead and advise on implementing DE, and for contractors or consultants to enable DE practices in project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in Digital Engineering practices into a project team or asset owner organisation, including in the application of ISO 19650 principles.
  • Support asset-owner clients to establish and manage Digital Engineering systems.
  • Act as project Digital Engineering lead interfacing with contractor/consultant teams.
  • Deliver and/or review Digital Engineering plans, responding to key requirements.
  • Manage teams including specialists in BIM, CAD, GIS and information controls to support project delivery.
  • Work with engineering and project leaders to develop roadmaps to grow Digital Engineering capability (people, process, technology and information).

About You

You will be able to demonstrate a track record leading digital engineering practices for asset owners. Experience working with contractors and consultants to drive digital engineering delivery.

Previous experience operating in senior roles across major capital works projects for key industry sectors including transportation, water and buildings.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of Digital Engineering practices including in the application of ISO19650 principles to specific industry contexts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand and influence stakeholders from varied backgrounds.
  • Analytical skills to elicit and document information and system requirements.
  • Applied skills in managing multiple information formats including IFC, RVT, DXF, DWG and integrating data between files.
  • Applied skills in the use of information management tools including Bentley Projectwise, Autodesk ACC, Esri ArcGIS.
  • Certification in ISO19650 practices preferred.
  • A degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
