Cobol Developer for Securities Business (all humans)

What to do:

• Develop new features in Cobol.
• Refactor and optimize existing modules for performance.
• Enhance application logging and disaster recovery mechanisms.
• Integrate mainframe environments with modern decentralized architectures.
• Maintain the existing securities processing system, including order management, fee and tax calculations, and transaction conduction.

You check these boxes:

• Experience with mainframe computing in financial institutions.
• Strong experience with Cobol, DB2, CICS, and JES (JCL) on z/OS.
• Advantages: Java z/OS, Strobe, Dynatrace, Xpediter, ChangeMan.
• Domain knowledge in banking, securities trading & settlement, and real-time trading systems.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in mainframe computing.
• Analytical and structured thinking skills.
• Ability to recognize connections and prioritize tasks.
• Availability for 2-3 days per week on-site at Vienna office.

We offer a competitive, performance-related salary based on your qualifications. The minimum wage for this position, according to the collective agreement, is EUR 53,802 gross per year. We are open to discussing your actual salary expectations.
