The opportunity

• Take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations: accounts payable/receivable, expense controls, cash flow tracking, and treasury planning.
• Lead our monthly closing process and support the preparation of internal and investor reporting.
• Help implement and optimize our finance stack (e.g., accounting, payments, reporting, and spend tools).
• Support budgeting, forecasts, and scenario modeling.
• Work with external accountants, tax advisors, and payroll providers to ensure compliance with Austrian and EU regulations.
• Support investor relations: assist with the preparation of financial data and analysis.
• Lay the foundation for a scalable finance function by bringing structure, clarity, and automation to everything you touch.
• Prepare applications for government grants and track project milestones.

You bring

• 2-5 years of experience in finance, ideally in startups, scale-ups, or top-tier accounting/consulting firms.
• Hands-on experience with Austrian bookkeeping, monthly closes, reporting, and financial tools.
• Strong analytical skills with financial modeling experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English and German.
