Our responsibilities
Support the Minister for the Arts in setting the state government’s strategic policy direction for arts and culture in Queensland.
Facilitate delivery of the Queensland Government's arts and cultural priorities and administer government investment in funding programs and capital works programs.
Oversee and report on the Queensland Government's investment in arts and culture and ensure the best use of public funds.
Manage the state’s arts and cultural assets, including Brisbane's Cultural Precinct, South Bank; 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley; Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts; and Centre of Contemporary Arts, Cairns.
Support the governance and compliance of arts companies and arts statutory bodies in the arts portfolio.
