Arts Queensland is looking for a permanent full-time Director - Arts Business Services (SO) to come and work with us.

Please refer to the position description for full list of required key duties/tasks that this role will undertake.

This position also has HR and Financial Delegations and manages five (5) direct reports.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: $184,842 - $193,402 p.a. (total renumeration including leave loading and super)
  • Permanent flexible full-time position with professional development opportunities
  • Please note a 3-month probationary period may apply to new employees of Arts Queensland in accordance with section 315 of the Industrial Relations Act 2016
  • Please note as part of pre-employment checks, suitable candidates may be required to undertake:
  • A criminal history check under section 52 of the Public Sector Act (PSA) 2022
  • Complete a serious discipline history check (if required) under section 71 of the PSA
  • Disclose any interest/s that conflict, may conflict or may be perceived to conflict with the discharge of their duties in accordance with Division 2 of the PSA.

Oversee and report on the Queensland Government's investment in arts and culture and ensure the best use of public funds.

Manage the state’s arts and cultural assets, including Brisbane's Cultural Precinct, South Bank; 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley; Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts; and Centre of Contemporary Arts, Cairns.

Support the governance and compliance of arts companies and arts statutory bodies in the arts portfolio.
