Organizational Setting

The Department of Technical Cooperation (TC) oversees the planning, formulation, implementation, and monitoring of the IAEA’s technical cooperation programs, with regional divisions including Europe and Central Asia.

Main Purpose

Under supervision of a Section Head, the Associate Project Officer (TC) assists in managing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on technical cooperation projects.

Role

The role includes project coordination, data analysis, and performance reporting to ensure effective project execution.

Functions / Key Results Expected

  • Develop and maintain project monitoring tools linked to the Agency-wide Information System.
  • Coordinate with managers and partners for information collection and reporting.
  • Analyze project issues and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare progress and resource reports.
  • Evaluate project results against performance indicators.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and liaise with communication teams.

Required Expertise

  • Management and Programme Analysis: Technical report writing, information analysis, and reporting skills.

Qualifications, Experience, and Language Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in programme planning, implementation, and budget management.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other IAEA languages is an asset.
