Responsibilities:

• Lead the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Vice President, International, ensuring effective operations of the international units and maintaining strong connections with Central Marketing, Student Services, and the offshore network.
• Provide strategic advice to support the university's international goals.
• Represent Deakin as a senior ambassador to government, partner institutions, industry, and alumni.
• Ensure compliance with government policies and regulations related to international students, including reporting to governance bodies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven management of significant human and material resources.
• Experience building relationships with government, industry, and NGOs.
• Experience in developing or evaluating tenders, grants, and funding requests.
• High-level skills in negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience in business development within a tertiary environment.
