Job Description:

The team is responsible for identifying highly innovative startups and establishing new strategic partnerships with them. You will be part of an established team at STRABAG, exploring new and challenging areas. You will build upon existing expertise of STRABAG professionals while enjoying operational freedom and flexibility in executing strategically relevant projects.

• Support the development and execution of new strategic partnerships with startups
• Identify startups with strategic relevance for STRABAG's core business areas
• Run scouting and screening processes in cooperation with operating units
• Support investment processes (due diligence, term sheet, and contract negotiations) and collaborate with external partners and internal departments such as Finance, M&A, Legal, etc.
• Support active stakeholder management within the startup ecosystem (especially VC investors)
• Contribute to strategy development for further innovation initiatives

Qualifications:

• Exceptional academic records (business administration, engineering, or equivalent preferred)
• At least 5 years of professional experience in venture capital, corporate finance, or related fast-paced environments (such as growth startups, company builders, or consulting)
• Passion for Construction Tech, Property Tech, and Green Tech products
• Strong analytical skills and ability to present complex issues appropriately for different target groups
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to travel
• Existing professional connections within the Construction Tech, Property Tech, or Green Tech space are a plus
• Fluency in German and English, spoken and written

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of strategic partnerships with startups
• Identify startups relevant to STRABAG’s core business areas
• Conduct scouting and screening in collaboration with operational units
• Assist in investment processes including due diligence, term sheets, and negotiations
• Prepare information documents for management decisions
• Manage stakeholder relationships within the startup ecosystem, especially VC investors
• Contribute to strategy development for innovation initiatives
