The Point is seeking a talented and experienced Head of Event Sales to lead and elevate our event sales strategy across two of Sydney’s most iconic venues: Shell House and The International.
Reporting to the Events & Guest Experience Director, this senior leadership role is responsible for driving proactive sales activity, nurturing high-value client relationships, and growing our event portfolio.
You'll have the opportunity to shape and execute strategic sales plans with your team, while building a loyal client base through exceptional service and creative, solution-led thinking.
What You’ll Do
- Lead proactive event sales activity with a strong focus on new business development.
- Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of premium event bookings.
- Foster strong relationships through client meetings, site inspections, and industry networking.
- Prepare tailored proposals and event documentation with a 24-hour turnaround standard.
- Track and report outbound sales activity, conversion rates, and CRM management.
- Collaborate on strategic planning with the Events & Guest Experience Director.
- Represent The Point with confidence and professionalism at trade events and exhibitions.
- Drive event sales across both in-venue and offsite opportunities.
About You- Minimum 2+ years in a senior event sales role within high-end venues or hospitality groups.
- Demonstrated ability to meet (and exceed) sales targets and KPIs.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle competing priorities with ease.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of corporate event markets and existing industry relationships.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- A team player with a positive, solution-focused mindset.
- Tertiary qualifications in hospitality, events or business are a plus.
