Commercial & Trade Business Development Manager - (New Beith QLD)
About the Opportunity:
We’re partnering with a national leader to recruit experienced and results-driven Commercial & Trade Business Development Managers (BDMs) in key metro areas. These roles are ideal for high-performing sales professionals with a passion for driving new business across the industrial, mining, transport, agriculture, and farming sectors. The ideal candidate will be located in New Beith QLD.
As a Commercial BDM, you’ll work closely with the Head of Sales and broader team to identify growth opportunities, build strategic customer relationships, and craft compelling tenders. You'll play a pivotal role in coaching field sales staff and ensuring seamless client onboarding and retention.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Proactively source and secure new commercial clients across multiple trade sectors.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure strong legal and commercial outcomes.
- Analyse market data to identify strategic opportunities.
- Prepare high-quality proposals tailored to client needs.
- Lead handover of new accounts to account management teams.
- Drive retention and growth across your portfolio.
- Submit monthly progress and pipeline reports.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry functions, and events (including occasional overnight travel).
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a commercial sales or BDM role.
- A proven track record in winning new business and meeting sales KPIs.
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-savvy with excellent presentation and written communication abilities.
- Ability to coach and uplift sales team performance.
- Professional resilience and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Passion for building long-term client partnerships.
