Network Provisioning and Automation (NPA) is seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Network Development Engineer with a strong drive to automate and simplify network processes. This role reports directly to the Software Development Manager for NPA and is responsible for all tools related to network automation within Amazon's fulfillment networks.
The NPA team develops and continuously enhances core network provisioning components used by thousands of Amazon employees, devices, robots, and other user infrastructure worldwide. We need a Network Development Engineer to provide technical leadership in our next-generation networks supporting robotics, IoT, sensors, drones, and mobile devices. You should be comfortable with taking risks, iterating on designs, and focusing on security and reliability, influencing best practices across teams.
Your responsibilities include building tools for the largest fulfillment network, mentoring support teams, and driving root cause analysis for provisioning events impacting the business. Our goal is to create mechanisms for automated network infrastructure management—discovery, bootstrapping, configuration, operational readiness, and recovery—aiming for zero-touch, software-managed networks.
