What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant in this highly regarded organisation, you will be entrusted with delivering high-quality financial information that underpins key business decisions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you preparing detailed reports for both internal stakeholders and external bodies while analysing data trends to highlight opportunities for improvement. You will take ownership of budgeting processes—ensuring projections are accurate—and use your advanced modelling skills to forecast future outcomes under different scenarios. Your role also involves supporting essential finance operations such as payroll processing, billing cycles, month-end closing activities, audit preparations, and asset management enhancements. Additionally, you will mentor colleagues within the accounts team and provide vital support during periods of absence for senior finance leadership. • Prepare and review comprehensive internal and external financial reports to support both compliance requirements and strategic decision-making processes.
• Analyse complex financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement in performance while recommending practical solutions to address any issues.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed budgets by creating accurate projections and tracking actual performance against set targets.
• Design and manage robust financial models including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform future business strategies.
• Deliver precise financial forecasts by estimating future performance under various scenarios to aid planning at all levels of the organisation.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhanced operational efficiency through thorough analysis of expenditure patterns.
• Implement activity-based costing measures to provide deeper insights into service line performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Integrate data from multiple systems such as finance, client management, and payroll to produce insightful business performance reports.
• Support regular finance operations including payroll processing, billing activities, month-end close procedures, audit preparation materials, and asset management improvements.
• Provide mentoring support to the Senior Accounts Officer while offering leave cover for the Executive Manager – Finance when required.

• Display meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all aspects of reporting and compliance documentation.

• Manage time effectively by prioritising tasks efficiently so that deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality or accuracy.

• Operate proficiently across IT platforms including MS Office suite as well as client management systems; familiarity with Power BI or similar analytical tools is desirable.
