Your future responsibilities
Join our innovative Wireless Communication Team and shape the future of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies!
We are looking for a motivated team member to support and drive research and development in cutting-edge communication and sensing systems.
- Developing concepts for communication and sensing with using UWB and future technologies
- Setting up and running lab experiments in UWB
- Conducting research and development in UWB-based sensing and communication
- Collaborating closely with customers in Graz and Linz
- Independently working on embedded programming projects
- Contributing to cutting-edge applications in communication and IoT
- Initiating and leading new projects and collaborations with industry and public funding programs (HE, FFG, Chips JU, ...)
- Presenting scientific results in technical documentation and/or high-level journals
- Participating in international conferences and contributing to IP generation and technical innovation
Your profile
- PhD degree in relevant fields such as electronics or communications
- At least 3 years of work experience
- Hands-on experience in setting up complex experiments and working in lab environments
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, embedded systems, and hardware-level programming
- Practical knowledge in UWB sensing and communication, both in application and development
- Strong background in communication theory and its application to connect IoT with UWB and future communication systems such as 6G
- Proficiency in English; German is an asset
- Willingness to relocate to Austria and work from both sites Graz and Linz

This position is governed by the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA), starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3,963 gross, paid 14 times annually) based on 38.5 hours/week). We offer a competitive salary starting at a minimum gross of EUR 61,000 annually, based on an All-in contract.
