Job Duties:
- Participation in the founding of the Core Facility BioMediCry
- Participation in the creation and ongoing maintenance of a homepage and usage guidelines for the Core Facility
- Project management and ordering
- Acquisition of third-party funds
- Commissioning, operation, maintenance, and servicing of 3D bioprinters and associated equipment
- Establishment and continuous optimization of applications and protocols for 3D bioprinting
- Training, supervising, and advising 3D bioprinter users, as well as designing and conducting training sessions and workshops
- Computer-aided simulations for 3D prints
- Implementation of 3D printing contract work
- Assistance in the support of other CoreFacility BioMediCry devices, (microscopes, spectrometer, bioreactors, etc.)
- Supervision of cell culture for the Core Facility
- Organization of (inter)national thematic conferences and workshops
- Active involvement in scientific research and publication of research results
Your Qualifications:
- Completion of a technical or scientific doctoral degree, e.g., in bioengineering, medical engineering, biochemistry, medicine, or an equivalent field of study
- Enjoy and experience in interdisciplinary, scientific and administrative activities
- High level of technical understanding
- Experience in the maintenance and operation of complex devices, especially 3D printers and ideally 3D bioprinters
- Experience in creating 3D models (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Autodesk etc.)
- Experience in programming
- Basic understanding of the interactions between technical and biological materials (e.g., biocompatibility, cell adhesion)
- Experience in cell culture
- Experience in the development of computer-aided simulations (Finite Element Analysis, Fluid Dynamics etc.)
- Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds is desirable
- Experience in creating homepages is desirable
- Teaching experience
- High social competence as well as self-motivation and enjoy committed teamwork
- Very good knowledge of English and German (English level C1, German level A2)
