Your Responsibilities
- Research in the area of AI-driven chemistry, at the interface between chemistry and computer science
- Research in the area of sustainable catalysis and green chemistry
- Automated high throughput catalyst screening with advanced equipment and methodology
- The assembly and operation of a ChemSpeed device for catalyst development
- Integration of analytical techniques with ChemSpeed device according to company guidance
- Development of computer driven approaches for data processing and data mining
- Database development for automated approaches in catalysis
- Integration of AI/ML methods with catalyst development under guidance
- Study of AI/ML methods for the development of catalytic biomass depolymerization
- Preparation and writing of high impact scientific publications
- Cooperation within the‘Institute for Chemistry’ (University of Graz), Graz Technological University (TU Graz) as well as national/international collaboration with academic/industry partners
- Organizational and administrative duties include primarily the maintenance of the Chem Speed device and coupled analytical and computer equipment
- Writing a relevant dissertation at the University of Graz
- Independent teaching of courses and participation in teaching and examination tasks of the institute of chemistrty
- Supervision of students
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
Your Profile
- Completed master’s degree in the area of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related areas
- Experience with sustainable catalysis and work with renewable resources
- Ample laboratory experience in the sustainable catalysis and green chemistry research fields
- Knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry methods related to renewable resources
- Knowledge in computer-based approaches, informatics, programming
- Good knowledge of several analytical techniques
- Experience with advanced/automated data processing
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
- High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work
- High degree of personal responsibility and ability to cooperate
- Ability to communicate and work in a team
- Motivation to perform research in the area of AI-driven chemistry, in particular at the interdisciplinary interface between chemistry and computer science.

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
