The Goulburn Broken CMA (GB CMA) is seeking applications from motivated and experienced individuals to join us in the role of River Health Projects Manager.

Reporting to the River & Wetland Health Program Manager, this role is responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering waterway health programs and on-ground operations which align to the GB CMA’s strategic objectives. You will lead your team to design, plan and deliver projects, activities and initiatives to achieve significant river health improvement outcomes, and which meet GB CMA standards, OH&S, investor requirements, policies, procedures and legislative and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Provide strategic advice to GB CMA’s Executive, other managers and partners on matters relating to river health related projects and program areas;

Provide input to State and Commonwealth policy and strategy to influence positive regional outcomes and investment opportunities for the catchment;

Lead and develop an engaged and effective work team;

Build and maintain productive partnerships with Traditional Owners, land managers (public and private), and other regional agency and community stakeholders;

Encourage diverse ideas, ownership and innovation to achieve outcomes;

Develop project and business unit plans to achieve alignment with the strategic priorities and legislative requirements; and

Effectively plan resources for projects, ensuring delivery timeframes, contractual obligations and budgets are met.

To be successful you will:

Ideally have NRM or similar tertiary qualifications and/or experience

Have demonstrated experience of more than 5 years successfully scoping, planning and implementing complex projects and programs within a government/agency environment

Have experience managing project procurement and delivery including a range of civil construction and on-ground works contracts and

Be a strong communicator, with the ability to influence, negotiate, lead and manage people at all levels, as well as engaging effectively with landholders and other community stakeholders.
