Chef de Rang

Global Experts is a leading recruitment agency that helps skilled professionals get the best jobs with trustworthy employers. On behalf of our client, a 4*S Hotel in Salzburgerland, Austria, we are looking for a Chef de Rang!

Main duties:

1. Ensure the smooth running of the section
2. Assist junior team members
3. Deliver excellent standards of service in a friendly and professional manner to our guests
4. Proactively welcome and greet all guests and visitors to the Restaurant and the Hotel
5. Assist in the setup of the restaurant before service, ensuring all required items are stocked and ready
6. Seat guests offering them menus, drinks and provide explanations of the menu when required
7. Deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries
8. Ensure the restaurant environment is always maintained and cleaned to a high standard both during and after service
9. Deliver consistent, exceptional service in line with the luxury standards
10. Have excellent knowledge of restaurant menus in order to be able to offer guidance and make recommendations

The ideal candidate will:

1. Have a passion for all things food and beverage
2. Be able to help train and supervise team members ensuring they deliver consistent quality of service
3. Have previous experience in a similar environment
4. Have a strong understanding of the high standards that are demanded from 4* and 5* establishments
5. Speak German fluently
6. Be creative-minded with a passion and respect for the provenance of food
7. Relish the pressure of a busy restaurant environment
