Wenham Carter is partnered with an innovative Insurtech start-up modernising the insurance industry. They’ve developed a digital-first platform that enables tier 1 automotive clients like Volvo, Mini, and BMW to create, launch, and manage unique insurance experiences quickly and at scale.

They are seeking a talented Software Developer (Kotlin/Java/React.js) to help evolve the platform as they scale to new products, partners, and regions. In this role, you will have direct input on the platform architecture and strategy, taking ownership of your work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of core platform services and REST interfaces in Kotlin.
• Help integrate front-end applications with backend APIs using TypeScript and React.js.
• Evolve and maintain operational data sources (PostgreSQL).
• Integrate data services from third parties.
• Lead the development of AWS Lambdas in TypeScript.
• Evolve and automate provisioning of AWS infrastructure.
• Tech stack includes: Kotlin/Java, Dropwizard/Jersey/JDBI, PostgreSQL, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, AWS SNS/SQS, Terraform, TypeScript, React.js.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years’ experience in Java/Kotlin, TypeScript, and React.js or similar technologies.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable with microservices architecture.
• DevOps experience with cloud-based infrastructure.
