Job Description:

The IOT Test Development Engineer is part of the Embedded Systems team in R&D, focusing on IoT infrastructure, particularly BLE communication on access points. The role involves developing, testing, and verifying IoT gateway functionalities related to BLE, gaining extensive technical knowledge in BLE chips and infrastructure testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute integration and end-to-end tests to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle
• Develop and run functional and non-functional tests across hardware, embedded software, and wireless connectivity solutions
• Drive automation of testing environments and integrate test pipelines
• Develop, integrate, and maintain various test frameworks
• Implement or extend CI/CD pipelines with testing functionalities
• Coordinate test activities based on project needs
• Take technical responsibility for testing and verification processes

Key Challenges:

• Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
• Automating complex tests
• Handling BLE Sniffer tools proficiently
• Analytical and systemic thinking
• Identifying errors and challenges clearly
• Understanding diverse technologies and their interactions
• Comprehending complex system architectures

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or similar

Experience:

• At least 2 years in verification and testing of embedded devices, such as BLE products, IoT gateways, or similar
• Experience with distributed systems involving hardware and software integration
• Detail-oriented with a quality mindset and ability to work under pressure

Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, scripting
• Experience with BLE frameworks like Zephyr
• Knowledge of Bluetooth specifications
• Familiarity with tools like Git, Azure DevOps, Labgrid, Robot Framework, Ellisys, Salea, Segger
• Fluent in English, conversational in German
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Interest in computer science and system modeling
• Willingness to learn new technologies and legal aspects
• High quality awareness, good communication skills, resilience
