We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Road Planning Engineer for a prestigious international construction company operating in Africa. The company has been a leader in the construction industry for over 50 years and is known for delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across Africa.

Your Responsibilities:

• Independent planning of urban and rural roads and traffic facilities according to international standards (municipal, state, and federal roads)
• Preparing tenders and processing offers for transport and infrastructure projects
• Overseeing and managing the planning process autonomously
• Leading a planning team
• Mentoring local technical staff (e.g., as a mentor, trainer, and team leader)

Your Qualifications:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in road planning
• Profound experience in road planning, ideally in an international or multinational working environment, with extensive African experience
• Very good command of English
• Solid knowledge in the design of road and bridge corridors, including associated drainage planning
• Expertise in CAD software, especially AUTODESK applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Global Mapper)
• The ability to understand and independently convert topographical survey data and plans into corresponding terrain models
• Familiarity with all common planning standards and the ability to apply additional national/regional standards
