WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK: Hybrid: This role will be a mix of in-office work and remote work.

A DAY IN THE LIFE: The Sr. Medical Sciences Liaison supports the market introduction and sustainment of Tandem’s products by liaising with healthcare and scientific communities, communicating product-related information, assisting with medical questions, and collaborating with internal teams to support regulatory and market access activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Scientific presentations: Developing and delivering medical presentations, translating complex medical messages.
  2. Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development: Engaging with healthcare providers, building relationships, and facilitating scientific exchange.
  3. Evidence Generation: Leading evidence strategies, monitoring clinical developments, supporting publications.
  4. Advisory Boards: Setting up and managing advisory boards with KOLs.
  5. Off label conversations: Responding to clinical inquiries about device use and indications.
  6. Supporting Market Access: Providing clinical data and literature reviews to support market strategies.
  7. Research collaborations: Partnering with investigators for research studies.
  8. Regulatory support: Assisting with clinical and regulatory documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Deep knowledge of diabetes and its management, including technology use.
  • Understanding of international medical device regulations, especially EU MDR and CE Mark.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language (German preferred).

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • Advanced degrees (MS, PhD, MD, etc.) and clinical licensure are preferred.
  • Experience in diabetes technology or insulin pump industry.
  • Experience in scientific presentation and communication.
