The Senior Project Officer will support the Assistant Director and Director of the team and assist in establishing and growing a continuous learning culture for the government’s digital project leaders – centered on the system of assurance that applies to digital projects. The role will also engage closely with digital policy owners and their teams across the DTA and relevant government agencies. Your work on the integration stream will include developing processes and knowledge collateral to support the integration of digital policies and standards and leveraging the assurance system to ‘activate’ these policies.

Please note: This role may require interstate travel from time to time.

The key duties

  1. Contribute to the design and delivery of activities required to integrate policies into the assurance system and deliver world-class leadership programs and initiatives.
  2. Work collaboratively as a member of the Leadership Programs and Integration team to continuously improve how the assurance system operates to meet the needs of Ministers, agencies, senior leaders of digital projects, and digital policy owners.
  3. Contribute to team planning, work program design, project management, workflow management, and the team's work program in alignment with the broader direction of the team, branch, division, agency, and the Australian Government more broadly.
  4. Contribute to stakeholder engagement and high-quality written communications for policy owners and on behalf of the branch, including, but not limited to, talking points, briefs, board papers, and presentations.
  5. Contribute to a positive team culture and environment – including demonstrating an earnest desire to drive innovation and business improvement.
