Key responsibilities

We seek an experienced Software Engineer II for the Sponsored Products (SP) Supply team. SP helps merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners increase sales on Amazon through native product advertising. The SP Supply team focuses on delivering relevant product ads on Amazon search pages worldwide using NLP, computer vision, generative AI, and shopper understanding models. The team works on innovative projects that significantly impact shoppers and our business. As a team member, you will lead major product and engineering initiatives, develop large-scale, low-latency distributed systems, and build ML infrastructure and data pipelines. You will collaborate with the science team to implement LLM models in production and contribute to LLMOps. Your responsibilities include designing, building, and operating customer-facing features impacting hundreds of millions of Amazon shoppers globally.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scalability
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing
