Your role and responsibilities
As Product Manager for Runtime Platform, your main responsibilities will include monitoring industry trends, competitors, and market needs to develop a competitive platform strategy aligned with customer and industry demands. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to position the platform, prioritize customer requirements, and guide the product roadmap. Additional duties include:
- Developing a clear business model, offering bundles, and pricing strategies for growth.
- Driving market opportunity pipeline and aligning product decisions with growth objectives.
- Building and managing strategic partnerships to enhance platform capabilities and adoption.
- Engaging with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and strengthen the ecosystem.
Qualifications for the role
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering (embedded and cloud technologies) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in the automation industry.
- Strong expertise in software application lifecycle management and value creation across the lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of automation industry needs, including software-mechatronics integration, deterministic behavior, low latency, and field bus communication.
- Proven experience collaborating directly with customers, sales, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives to align technology decisions with customer value.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Knowledge of software business models, pricing strategies, and monetization in an industrial automation environment. Fluency in English is required; German is preferred.
