The Impact You’ll Make

Join Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles, you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You'll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. Your expertise in optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

1. Verify designs of new modules/products/changes and analyze design for manufacturing. Combine BOM strategy with manufacturing line. Review design solutions in terms of safety, ergonomics, tooling, Form-Fit-Function. Create Work Instructions and production process steps.
2. Implement cost-efficient methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.
3. Implement non-standard customer requests onto products and transfer to manufacturing.
4. Support to transfer new products into high volume manufacturing.
5. Work closely with suppliers and remote factories (including traveling).
6. Implement new ideas and define new ways of processes to reduce costs and assembly time.
7. Continuous Improvement for products, processes, and manufacturing.

Who We’re Looking For

1. Technical education (completed apprenticeship - LAP Electronic or Mechatronics preferred).
2. MS Office & SAP skills.
3. Hands-on experience with CAD, NX, or similar tools.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
5. Self-managed and proactive working style.
6. Ability to travel to suppliers or other Lam locations.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
