SAP MM S/4 HANA Transformation Consultant

Project Description

This project involves a comprehensive SAP S/4HANA transformation, in which two existing ECC systems will be consolidated into a single S/4HANA system. The scope includes migrating data from both legacy systems and implementing standardized and harmonized business processes across the organization. The client aims to achieve up to 80% process standardization and harmonization, although a 50% realization is considered realistic.

Consultant Activities

The stream lead will be responsible for driving the client within their functional stream. Key responsibilities include:

• Finalizing the process list and defining the project scope.
• Identifying opportunities for process standardization and harmonization in close collaboration with the client.
• Incrementally customizing the S/4HANA system based on defined requirements.
• Managing necessary system developments and conducting unit testing.

The consultant will also support the client during:

• Integration Testing phases (IT1 and IT2) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Cutover planning and execution.
• Go-live and hypercare phases.

Required Qualifications

The customer lacks in-house expertise in S/4HANA, making it essential to bring in an external consultant with proven experience in S/4HANA transformations. This consultant will not only lead the stream but also train and enable the client throughout the project. Their deep functional and technical knowledge is critical to the success of the migration and standardization effort—capabilities that cannot be met by internal staff.
