University Project Assistant (must hold a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree) for the CoreFacility BioMediCry for a 20-hour/week (part-time), three-year position

Job Duties:
- Participation in the founding of the CoreFacility BioMediCry
- Creation of a homepage and terms of use for the CoreFacility
- Project management and ordering within BioMediCry
- Conception/implementation of training courses/further education for BioMediCry users
- Organization of (inter)national thematic conferences and workshops
- Maintenance, servicing and support of BioMediCry spectroscopes and microscopes
- Active participation in the redesign and optimization of users' work processes
- Advising users in the experimental processing of material science, molecular biology, biophysical and medical questions using Raman spectroscopy and microscopy, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, total reflection fluorescence microscopy, multiphoton fluorescence microscopy, single molecule fluorescence microscopy, fluorescence lifetime microscopy, rheology
- Advising users on data analysis and interpretation
- Carrying out contract measurements on the devices with the above-mentioned method pool and the associated data analysis and interpretation
- Acquisition of funding
- Creation of publications
Your Qualifications:
- Completion of a relevant doctoral program with a physical, biophysical or similar focus
- Doctorate should not have been awarded more than 8 years ago, whereby periods of maternity leave (care leave, childcare) are taken into account
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary, scientific and administrative activities
- Experience in working on interdisciplinary research projects
- Experience in the above mentioned methods (FCS, SMM, TIRFM, confocal microscopy, lifetime microscopy, Raman spectroscopy)
- Relevant publications in international journals (FCS, SMM)
- Experience in administrative work
- Confident command of both German and English language and spelling (level B2 or above)
- Organizational skills
- Experience in teaching and student support desirable

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 4,932.90 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
