POSITION SUMMARY

Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, inspect tools and machines, carry equipment, and identify shut-off valves. Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts. Read blueprints and electrical schematics for plumbing and HVAC. Demonstrate advanced engineering skills and mechanical ability. Proficiency in categories such as air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building management. Use hand and power tools safely. Perform complex repairs on physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and codes. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical devices, and systems. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures. Utilize engineering computer programs for maintenance and energy management. Perform advanced troubleshooting of MEP systems. Train and mentor staff. Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including rounds and readings.

Follow safety policies, report hazards, complete safety training, and store flammable materials properly. Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect assets. Greet guests, address service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely. Adhere to quality standards. Foster positive relationships, support team goals, and respond to concerns. Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, and computer use. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D., vocational or technical background.

Work Experience: Extensive experience in maintenance, electrical, refrigeration, inventory, and surface preparation.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in hotel engineering/maintenance.

Supervisory Experience: None required.

License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License, Universal CFC Certification, and applicable state/federal licenses.
