IS Country Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead/manage/supervise a function/organization/department/team in the development, and/or implementation and/or execution in their own area of responsibility. Each day, you will be accountable for the delivery of solutions, and enhancements, creating technology roadmaps that align organizational plans with emerging technology solutions. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring efficient service capabilities.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis system administration and will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our SAP systems.You will be mainly accountable for:• SAP Basis System Administration: Manage and maintain SAP systems to ensure high availability and performance.• Monitoring of Systems, Interfaces, and Jobs: Regularly monitor system performance, interfaces, and scheduled jobs to ensure smooth operations.• Database Administration: Perform database administration tasks including backup and recovery to ensure data integrity and availability.• Network Design and Security: Apply basic principles of network design and security to maintain a secure and efficient SAP environment.• System Performance Management: Manage system performance, perform upgrades, and apply corrections as needed.• Transport Management: Oversee the transport management process to ensure smooth deployment of changes.• Installation, Upgrade, and Maintenance: Install, upgrade, and maintain SAP and related software products to keep systems up-to-date.• Collaboration with OS & DB Administrators: Work closely with OS and database administrators to optimize SAP performance.• SAP Security Management: Monitor and manage SAP security to protect against unauthorized access and ensure compliance.• Change Management with SolMan: Utilize Solution Manager (SolMan) for change management processes.• Global Team Collaboration: Work effectively in global teams and maintain close cooperation with external providers.Technical Skills Required:• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.• Databases: Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, HANA, and other relevant databases.• SAP Tools: Knowledge of SAP tools such as SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP HANA Studio.• Scripting: Ability to write and understand scripts in languages such as Shell, Perl, and Python.• Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware.• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.• Backup and Recovery: Expertise in backup and recovery tools and processes.• Performance Tuning: Skills in performance tuning and optimization of SAP systems.• Security: Understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices.• Networking: Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.Optional Skills:• S/4 HANA Knowledge: Experience with S/4 HANA is a plus.• ABAP Know-How: ABAP programming knowledge is welcome.
