The heart of the role:

The Team Leader’s primary role is to lead, develop, mentor, coach and inspire a team by driving a high-performance culture focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience that is efficient, profitable, and sustainable.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations, analyzing results and performance, and delivering strategies to achieve and exceed targets. This will be achieved through developing individuals via coaching and performance management while embedding a customer-centric, first-resolution culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively lead and manage people, processes, and technology to deliver service excellence, operational efficiency, and achieve financial budgets, ensuring Claims Processing and Admin Services are desirable workplaces.
  • Monitor and improve team conversion rates through call practices and coaching.
  • Lead by example in adopting Bupa Australia Vision and Values.
  • Proactively manage change and coach the team through change processes.
  • Foster effective relationships with other business units to support business initiatives.
  • Manage daily team operations, acting as an escalation point for decision-making.
  • Manage team performance in line with policies, enhancing employee engagement.
  • Identify and support strategic initiatives to improve efficiencies and automation.

About you:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience coaching others to improve customer experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to meet or exceed targets through a high-performance culture.
  • Experience in a complex, highly legislated claims environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships.
  • Experience resolving provider/broker/client complaints effectively.
  • Experience in lead referral management practices.
