Product Owner for Microwave Reactors (f/m/x)

Company Description
With your extensive expertise in devices and applications in microwave-assisted acid digestion and synthesis chemistry, as well as your hands-on experience with these instruments, you will define software requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders such as product managers and requirements engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring that these requirements are successfully and efficiently implemented by the software development team.

Job Description

Act as the central interface between stakeholders and the development team to ensure effective collaboration
Develop and specify software requirements for the devices in cooperation with product managers, system engineers, UX designers, and users
Structure and prepare these requirements as clearly defined work packages (user stories, acceptance criteria) for targeted software development
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to ensure an efficient development process
Monitor and report project progress within the framework of sprint reviews
Review and conduct quality control of completed work packages to ensure compliance with all requirements
Perform practical work in the laboratory to analyse and optimize device functions in real-world applications
Support product and application specialists within the product division

Qualifications

Completed higher education in a technical or scientific field, ideally in chemistry
Strong affinity for digital technologies and software solutions in the chemical environment
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical requirements to software developers
Hands-on laboratory experience, particularly with modern laboratory equipment and methods
Strong teamwork skills and a deep understanding of user needs
Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) as a Product Owner or in a similar role is an advantage
Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus
Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): € 3.300 to € 5.500
