Systems Engineer Measurement Technology - focus Aerosol & Particle Systems f/m/d

In interdisciplinary teams, we develop high-precision aerosol measurement systems based on state-of-the-art technologies that make a significant contribution to compliance with future air quality and exhaust gas regulations.

In this role, you will work on the design and development of entire measurement systems – from the sensor principle to the user interface. Within the project team, you will maintain an overview of the technical aspects, work closely with colleagues from various disciplines, such as electronics, mechanics, and software development, and combine technological building blocks into a holistic solution – from proof of concept to market readiness.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical product responsibility in the development of particle measurement devices (focus on particle number measurement, CPC technology) for applications in the automotive and environmental measurement technology sectors
  • Verification and validation of development results – from prototypes to series production
  • Technical liaison between internal colleagues from various disciplines (such as electronics, mechanical design, firmware, and software)
  • Responsibility for system design and architecture: from the initial idea to a functional device
  • Development and documentation of manufacturing and commissioning processes
  • Continuous development of existing systems based on market and customer feedback

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Completed education (University of Applied Sciences, University or University of Technology) with a focus on technical/scientific fields such as chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the product development environment of measuring devices
  • Knowledge of aerosol physics and practical experience in aerosol measurement technology
  • System engineering knowledge in the field of product development is desirable
  • Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and ability to maintain an overview
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate technical decision-making processes and develop innovative approaches
  • Stress-resistant and focused way of working
  • Business fluent knowledge in English, knowledge of German is an advantage

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €60,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
